Went straight to see where Elvis was born & raised! Then on to meet the Tupelo Film Commission hosts- a bunch of energetic affable gals who introduced me to the sponsors. They gave me a bag of treats to remember Tupelo by and let me help them dish out the freshly made popcorn in the basement of the church where the screening was held. My prejudgment of Tupelo was proven wrong- the staff proved to be cultural, and artistic and lots of fun above all. They even took me on a secret tour of the church's baptismal font hidden behind the altar!
